STAINED ASH

From the same European source as our natural ash. These have been darkened by immersion in light brown stain.

As the wood is so very hard, the stain takes only superficially over the exposed knots and so these may be attractively "lightened" again with minimal effort, by removing the darker stained surface. Once done, you are left with a white topped knot against the contrasting darker bark - a striking finish!

LIGHT WEIGHT - Tops are 21mm or less.

WORKING GRADE - well straightened, but may have the odd minor kick in them or slight damaged bark - ideal beaters or selling sticks
