Buffalo Horn handle forming plate. Made in 10mm plate steel with accurate market stick sized central "former". Strong welds ensure a lifetime's use. A "foot" welded to rear surface of the plate ( not seen in photo ) enables the plate to be firmly gripped in the vice. Heated horn may be shaped around central portion with use of sash and G clamps. Heated horn may also be firmly drawn to backing plate with clamps ensuring that resultant handle blank is "plum" and nose section in line with heel.
